Know Your Brain

Why are some days sharp — and others foggy?

Most people treat that as random. It isn't.

A two-minute daily reading of five core cognitive skills — measured against your own baseline, not anyone else's. You finally get a clear picture of how your mind is performing today, and over time you start to see what actually moves the needle.

That's not luck anymore — that's stacking the deck in your favor.

Try it now

Take a reading right here.

Tap the warm light. Let the cool ones pass. About one minute.

How a day works

Three simple steps. Two minutes total.

Step one

Check in (30 seconds)

Log sleep, mood, energy, stress, and anything else you want to test — hydration, exercise, a cold plunge, a new supplement, whatever you're running.

Step two

Play two one-minute games

The app rotates all five skills across the week so every pillar gets measured.

Step three

Get your reading

A readiness score and a simple weather word for the day: Foggy, Slow, Steady, Quick, or Sharp.

The five skills that make the difference.

These are the capacities that decide whether you feel clear or foggy.

Reaction

Game: Signal

Speed and restraint

Tap the warm firefly. Leave everything else alone. About a minute.

Memory

Game: Recall

Spatial memory

Watch the stars light up, then trace the pattern back. About a minute.

Attention

Game: Filter

Attention under distraction

Five comets — only the middle one counts. About a minute.

Flexibility

Game: Switch

Mental flexibility

One lantern, two rules, and the rule keeps changing. About a minute.

Problem-solving

Game: Pathways

Find the pattern

Pick what comes next. About a minute.

You practice them in short, focused games. Performance on these exact tasks improves with practice. More importantly, you get a clean daily signal of how they are doing for you.

Why a baseline

Elite athletes measure everything — sleep, workouts, recovery — because peak performance isn't luck. It's a pattern, and patterns can be found. Your brain works the same way: some days you're quick, some days you're foggy, and the difference isn't random. That's what your baseline is for. Over your first ten sessions, the app learns what your usual looks like. From then on, every reading is measured against the only standard that matters: you. Then it gets interesting. Line your readings up against your sleep, movement, stress, and the rest of your daily check-in, and watch your own patterns surface. What do your best days have in common? What happened the day before? This is the same game the pros play — find your edge, then use it. No percentiles, no leaderboards, no strangers. Just the most interesting experiment you'll ever run: you.

Founder note

An illness left me with brain fog. Days blurred together and I could not tell a heavy morning from a light one. Doctors had little to offer in the way of tracking, and nothing that showed me a day-to-day picture. But here's the thing — I didn't want to measure the fog. I wanted my mornings back. I wanted to know what my clear days had in common, so I could give myself more of them. More sleep? Less stress? A walk the day before? I couldn't see any of it without a picture. So I built one. Know Your Brain is the day-to-day picture I wished someone could hand me: your own baseline, your own patterns, and a fair shot at stacking your days in your favor. Because the goal was never to chart the fog. It was to find the sun.
